Mood Disorder Questionnaire

(Which I Answered Yes To It All)

Has there ever been a period of time when you were not your usual self and…

● you felt so good you started vibrating at the pitch of a hummingbird and the people around you saw instead a beehive solely made of light and combustion?

● you became a knot of gnarled cords and unfurled your body into a barbed wire fence and caged every person you cared about inside?

● you swallowed the entire sun whole?

● you fell in love with the moon and stayed up later and later until you stopped sleeping altogether?

● you created a language between the lines of what you were already saying, cited encyclopedias you composed and signed, filled any available margin with its own handsewn codex?

Tell me about your thoughts...

everyone is connected but it’s

hard to tell through the static

and my head is a circuit with

too much lightning and I have

to divert the electricity somehow

and now I’m all rumble and

lose control of my body

and thoughts and

● you were so easily distracted by things around you that you had trouble concentrating or staying on track?

● you reached out towards the night sky, stretched your arms, extended fingers to pluck stars from the dark velvet and put them in your eyes?

● you,

the human gambit,

the lucky loser,

the face side down

on a two headed coin —

● you know this isn’t a question anymore, right?
